Meraki Group, a UAE and Singapore-based development conglomerate, has formally entered Dubai South, announcing seven new projects in the area with a combined investment value of close to $1 billion. The company says around 2,400 residential units linked to these developments are currently under construction. Ajay Rajendran, founder and chairman of Meraki Group, said the move into Dubai South marks an important next step in the company's growth, with its new project, named Celeste, aiming to rank among the area's top three residential developments. An official unveiling of Celeste is scheduled for November this year. Meraki Group has more than 25 years of experience across construction, real estate development and education, and has delivered over 100 projects across the UAE to date. One of its earlier developments, Haven I, achieved a 73 percent snag-free handover rate, while its one-bedroom units now command annual rents of around Dh75,000, roughly 19 percent above the area's average of Dh63,000. Meraki's expansion comes as Dubai South continues to emerge as one of the city's key hubs for residential and commercial growth, drawing increasing attention from both large and smaller developers positioning themselves ahead of planned infrastructure expansions in the area, including its proximity to Al Maktoum International Airport.
