Four winners from India and Bangladesh split a Dh100,000 prize, Dh25,000 each, in the third weekly e-draw of Big Ticket Abu Dhabi for September.
Ayyalu Samy, a 41-year-old machine operator from Tamil Nadu, India, won independently with a randomly selected ticket number. Abul Bashar, a 56-year-old Bangladeshi painter, took part as one of a 20-person group and said he plans to send part of his winnings home to his family and donate the rest to charity.
Mohammed Shahadat Hussain, a 38-year-old Bangladeshi sales executive, entered with 13 friends after picking a number spontaneously. "I want to take part every month and keep trying until I win the grand prize," he said. Eldho Mathew, a 30-year-old driver from Kerala, India, won as part of a 25-person group, describing the shared victory as creating "a really good feeling" among participants.
Big Ticket Abu Dhabi is one of the region's best-known draws, selling tickets to thousands of participants worldwide each month for cash and car prizes. Group entries, as seen among the Bangladeshi winners this round, remain a popular way for participants to boost their odds while sharing the cost of a ticket.
