Dubai Miracle Garden opened for its fifteenth season on Thursday, October 8, marking the point each year when the city's outdoor attractions become bearable again. The Al Barsha South 3 site spreads across more than 72,000 square metres and this season carries more than 150 million flowers arranged in large-scale displays.
Tickets run on a two-tier system. UAE residents and nationals with a valid Emirates ID pay Dh70 for adults and Dh50 for children. General admission is Dh100 for adults and Dh80 for children. Under-threes enter free. A combo ticket covering both Miracle Garden and the neighbouring Dubai Butterfly Garden costs Dh140. Those figures are quoted before VAT.
Opening hours are 9am to 9pm daily, and the detail worth noting is that last entry closes 30 minutes before the gates do. Turning up at 8.50pm after work will not get you in.
The reopening lands in a busy week for the city's leisure calendar. Dubai Parks and Resorts reopened on October 7, and from October 10 an Adventure Time experience runs at the Museum of Candy in Oud Metha, priced at Dh199 at weekends and Dh96 on weekdays under a buy-one-get-one offer.
A word of practical advice for anyone planning the trip: the first weeks of the season are consistently the busiest of the year, and the car park fills from late afternoon onwards. Mid-morning on a weekday is the quietest slot, and it is also the better light for photographing the floral installations before the midday glare flattens the colour. Families with pushchairs should allow a good two hours, since the walking route through the displays is longer than it looks from the entrance.
