Abu Dhabi esports outfit Red Dunes claimed the top spot at the Street Fighter League EMEAA Championship, held on Saturday, October 26 at the Excel Centre in London alongside MCM Comic Con. The team beat GTW 70-30 in the grand final, after eliminating YESports 60-20 in the semi-final.

The EMEAA event carried a total prize pool of $100,000, of which Red Dunes took home $60,000. Twenty-four players across six teams competed in this edition of the regional championship.

The winning roster — Adel Anouche ("Big Bird"), Amjad Al Shalabi ("AngryBird"), Arman Hanjani ("Phenom") and Joel Sundell ("Juicy Joe") — secured their third consecutive regional Street Fighter League title with this roster. The win also books Red Dunes a place at the Street Fighter League World Championship, scheduled for March 10-14, 2027 in Tokyo.

The result adds to the growing profile of Emirati esports on the regional and global stage, an arena that has become a notable part of Abu Dhabi's broader push to diversify its economy and culture through official backing of professional gaming teams in recent years.
