Common Lab Brew & Bake | Dubai

Common Lab is a specialty coffee shop in Meydan, in Dubai's Al Merkadh district, trading as Common Lab Cafe L.L.C and signed outside as "Brew & Bake". Inside it is simple and modern: red banquettes along the wall, wooden tables, coffee-themed artwork and a few plants. Out front, under the building's covered arcade, there are tables and chairs for sitting outdoors. The coffee list is the main attraction. Filter drinkers get V60 pour-over made with single-origin beans, such as a mango-infused Mast Colombia and a natural anaerobic BloomX Rwanda, and the same two beans are used for cold brew. The espresso bar covers espresso, cortado, flat white, cappuccino, macchiato, caramel macchiato, latte and Americano. Prices start at AED 17 for an espresso, and a latte or cappuccino is AED 24. There is also a long list of flavoured lattes, hot or iced, including hazelnut, white mocha, dark mocha, pistachio, Spanish and rose, mostly AED 26 to 28. Almond, coconut or oat milk and decaf each add AED 5. Beans are sold in 250 g bags to take home.
