Four major European airlines have announced the resumption of flights to Dubai International Airport over the coming weeks, bringing the total number of restored weekly services to 36. The move coincides with the start of the UAE's winter tourism season, traditionally the busiest travel period of the year for the emirate. Lufthansa will restart flights between Dubai and both Munich and Frankfurt from October 25. Swiss will resume its Dubai-Zurich route on October 27. Eurowings will add services to Berlin, Stuttgart and Cologne/Bonn starting November 1, while Austrian Airlines will reactivate its Dubai-Vienna route on December 12.
Airport officials described the returning capacity as an expansion of travel options for passengers, ranging from short business trips and family visits to long-haul connections routed through Dubai International. The additional flights are also expected to sharpen price competition among carriers on Europe-Dubai routes, giving both tourists and business travellers more choice heading into the peak season.
The announcement comes as Dubai prepares to reopen several seasonal attractions, including Global Village and Dubai Miracle Garden, ahead of winter — a sign the city is gearing up for a fresh wave of visitors in the months ahead. The restored European capacity is expected to support further growth in Dubai's tourism and hospitality sector during the upcoming season.
