Tesla has begun taking reservations for the next generation of its Roadster in the UAE, giving buyers a place in line for the car ahead of production. Customers interested in the "Performance" trim pay an initial Dh20,000 deposit, followed by a further Dh190,000 within ten days, bringing the total deposit to Dh210,000. For the "Thrust" trim, the full deposit rises to roughly Dh1.02 million. mass production of the new Roadster is not expected to begin before 2028, and final pricing for the UAE market has not yet been announced. The Performance trim is the base configuration, without any thruster system, while the Thrust trim adds built-in thrusters that boost acceleration but do not enable flight. A third configuration, the Rocket — fitted with SpaceX-built thrusters said to allow brief flight manoeuvres, including operating upside down — is being offered by invitation only and will not be available in the UAE.

Tesla said availability of the Rocket trim "is subject to domestic laws and regulations" and that the configuration "will not be offered in all regions." The UAE currently has no specific regulatory framework covering vehicles designed to operate on both roads and in the air, even as the country develops infrastructure for electric vertical take-off aircraft and maintains separate regulations for conventional road vehicles and aircraft.

The UAE remains one of Tesla's closely watched markets in the region given strong local demand for luxury electric vehicles, and the reservation launch has renewed attention on the company's upcoming product line in the country.
