Abdulrahman crossed the line in 44.99 seconds, just 0.09 seconds behind gold medallist Joshua Atkinson of Thailand, who clocked 44.90 seconds.
The result marks a milestone for UAE Athletics, coming in a race organisers and officials described as exceptionally high in quality. Major General Dr Mohammed Abdullah Al Murr, President of the UAE Athletics Federation, said the achievement felt like gold given the standard of competition and the razor-thin margin separating the top two finishers.
