Matt Boucher, CEO of the Abu Dhabi T10 cricket tournament, has said the upcoming season, running from November 7 to 20, 2026 at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, is shaping up to be one of the most competitive editions in the tournament's history, with six franchises set to compete.

Speaking about the appeal of the ten-over format, Boucher described it as "fast, entertaining and highly competitive cricket that can attract new and younger audiences." He added that given the batting firepower across the six squads taking part this season, he "certainly wouldn't rule out seeing some records broken."

Boucher also underlined Abu Dhabi's central role in the tournament's identity, stating that "Abu Dhabi is our home and an integral part of the identity of the tournament," signalling organisers' intent to keep the capital as the long-term home of the competition.

Abu Dhabi T10 has grown in recent years into one of the most closely watched fixtures on the UAE's sporting calendar, with its short, fast-paced format drawing increasingly younger and more diverse crowds. Scheduling this year's edition for November, coinciding with Abu Dhabi's more temperate weather season, is expected to further boost attendance from fans travelling in from across the Gulf region.

Further details on the full squad line-ups, match schedule and ticket sales are expected to be announced by organisers in the coming days, as anticipation builds ahead of what Boucher has billed as a standout season for the format.
