The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix trophy made a stop at Etihad Airways' headquarters at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi as part of its tour ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season finale, which will take place from December 3 to 6 at Yas Marina Circuit.
Antonoaldo Neves, Group CEO of Etihad Airways, said excitement is building for the iconic Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, adding that the airline is looking forward to welcoming guests from more than 100 destinations around the world to Abu Dhabi for the spectacular final race of the season.
Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, the company behind the Abu Dhabi race weekend, pointed to the long history between the two organisations, noting that Ethara's partnership with Etihad Airways dates back to the very first Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2009 and is built on a shared goal of growing the event and showcasing Abu Dhabi to the world.
Etihad Airways has served as title partner of the Grand Prix since its inaugural 2009 edition, playing a central role during race week in international travel, hospitality and fan experiences. One of the event's most recognisable moments each year is Etihad's signature pre-race aircraft flyover, watched by millions of viewers worldwide and now considered one of the race weekend's defining images.
