A new UAE Salary Guide 2027 report from recruitment firm Michael Page Middle East has found that 51 per cent of employees in the UAE would seriously consider quitting if required to spend more time in the office.

The survey also found that 78 per cent of professionals are open to changing roles, while 23 per cent view artificial intelligence as a threat to their long-term career prospects.

"We are seeing encouraging levels of hiring activity and sustained demand for specialist skills," said Jon Ede, Managing Director of Michael Page Middle East.

The findings come as a number of major UAE employers have tightened hybrid-work policies in recent months, pushing for more in-office attendance — a shift that appears to be out of step with a large share of the workforce's preferences.
