Dubai's Museum of the Future has opened a new recruitment drive for a role it calls "Future Perfects," tasked with welcoming and guiding visitors through the building. Rather than prioritising formal qualifications or work history, the museum says it is looking for imagination, curiosity, emotional intelligence, strong communication skills and adaptability. those selected will welcome visitors from diverse backgrounds, explain complex scientific and technological ideas in accessible terms, and help spark conversations around science, technology, nature and society. Previous experience in museums or customer service is explicitly not required.
Applications close on November 8, and interested candidates can apply through the museum's official auditions portal. Shortlisted applicants then move through live assessments before a final audition in front of a panel of expert judges, who the museum says are evaluating interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability that don't always show up on a CV.
Successful candidates are expected to start full-time roles in November, ahead of the museum's planned reopening in 2027. The hiring drive is described as part of a broader effort to rebuild and expand the museum's visitor-facing team as it prepares for its next chapter, with the institution framing the roles as central to how it delivers its mission of making science and future technology approachable to a general audience.
