New parents across the UAE now have a fast-growing menu of postpartum support services to choose from, spanning sleep coaching, specialised meal delivery and dedicated mental-health care.
Sleep Baker, founded by Anna Baker, and Nurture2Sleep, led by nurse and midwife Julie Mallon, both work with babies and children up to the age of eight, while Lullabies, run by registered nurse Lisa Adair, offers one-to-one consultations alongside group courses.
On the nutrition side, meal-delivery brands built specifically for new mothers have multiplied. Yummy Mummy's plans start from Dh2,850 a month, while Basiligo offers five-day postpartum packages from Dh1,049 built around low-sodium meals. Nutri pairs meal plans with a nutrition consultation, and Right Bite's "Made for Mums" plan lets mothers customise calorie intake to their recovery needs.
Mental health support has also expanded. Peninsula Psychology, directed by Rita Figueiredo, runs individual and couples therapy, and Dubai's Thrive Wellbeing Centre has opened a unit dedicated to maternal mental health. In Abu Dhabi, Maudsley Health provides counselling for postpartum depression, while Sage Clinic works with perinatal psychologist Yasmeen Ibrahim.
Community networks are growing alongside the clinical options. Mama Tribe UAE, founded by Juliane Landelle, is preparing to open a postpartum sanctuary in Abu Dhabi, and Mama Hub organises virtual groups by emirate. The Mum Club runs breakfast meet-ups and fitness sessions, while Dubai Mums Meet hosts restaurant playdates and wellness outings for new parents.
Doula Lala Langtry White says the practical side of postpartum care is often what mothers need most — feeding support and newborn education rather than abstract advice. "The first weeks aren't about teaching anything," says Anna Baker of Sleep Baker. "What you can do is lay foundations." Rita Figueiredo adds that mothers need spaces "where they can speak honestly about the whole experience" — a need the expanding UAE network is increasingly built to meet.
