Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, hosted a majlis titled "Women Leading the Future" in Dubai on Wednesday, bringing together 29 women leaders from 22 countries.
The gathering was held on the sidelines of the Annual Meeting of Global Future Leaders, organised jointly by the UAE government, the World Economic Forum and the Dubai Future Foundation. This year's meeting drew more than 700 leaders and experts from 100 countries, including 300 Young Global Leaders and 150 UAE government officials.
Participants from government, entrepreneurship, science, technology, finance and culture discussed the role women play in shaping leadership, investment, technological progress and social change.
In her remarks, Sheikha Latifa said shaping humanity's future is a shared responsibility that calls for broader participation and practical, sustainable solutions to the challenges ahead. She underlined the UAE's commitment to equipping women with the knowledge and skills needed to drive lasting change, noting that diverse perspectives matter more than ever amid rapid shifts driven by artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
She added that women play a central role in strengthening integration and social cohesion, and that their presence in high-level decision-making is key to building a more sustainable future for communities. The majlis forms part of Dubai's broader push to position itself as a hub for global conversations on the future of leadership and development.
