Global Village, Dubai's long-running outdoor entertainment and shopping destination, will open its 31st season on Wednesday, October 14 at 6pm, organisers announced this week. The new season will feature more than 40,000 live performances over its run, reinforcing the venue's status as one of the region's biggest seasonal attractions.
The headline new addition this year is a roller coaster called Tokyo Rush, built around sharp turns, high-speed sections and a full loop. Two new flagship shows, Bollywood Idol and Bank Heist, join the entertainment line-up alongside returning crowd favourites such as Slam, Care Bears and PJ Masks.
On the cultural side, 29 pavilions representing more than 90 nationalities will welcome visitors. This season brings a standalone Sri Lanka pavilion, a combined Russia-Azerbaijan pavilion, and refreshed facades for the Syria and Kuwait pavilions. The Gardens of the World section also returns with an updated layout. Shoppers will find more than 3,500 retail outlets spread across the site.
Food lovers can choose from over 250 dining options, including newcomers Trabzon Turkish, Robo Al Sham, Hawawshi Al Rabie and Chicking, plus several new cafés. Global Village will operate from 4pm to midnight Sunday through Wednesday, and from 4pm to 1am on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays.
With its mix of rides, live shows, cultural pavilions and dining, Global Village has become a fixture of Dubai's winter calendar, drawing residents and tourists from across the UAE and beyond each season.
