The UAE's Fuel Price Committee has announced higher petrol and diesel prices for October 2026, effective from October 1, marking a sharp increase across all fuel grades compared with September. Super 98 will rise to Dh4.40 per litre from Dh3.80, an increase of about 15.8 per cent.
Special 95 climbs from Dh3.69 to Dh4.28 a litre, up nearly 16 per cent, while E-Plus 91 sees the steepest jump of the month at 16.6 per cent, moving from Dh3.61 to Dh4.21. Diesel prices increase from Dh4.30 to Dh4.80 per litre, an 11.6 per cent rise.
In its statement, the Fuel Price Committee said retail fuel prices are reviewed and adjusted at the end of every month "in line with prevailing trends in global energy markets," pointing to recent volatility in international oil prices as a key driver behind the increase.
The higher prices will add to running costs for drivers across Dubai and the other emirates from next week, and are likely to filter through to transport-dependent goods and services in the weeks ahead. Motorists are advised to budget for the new rates, which apply uniformly across UAE fuel stations from the first day of October.
