Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank reported a 27 per cent jump in net profit for the first nine months of the year, reaching Dh10.296 billion, as lending and deposits continued to expand across its balance sheet.

Profit before tax rose 28 per cent year-on-year to Dh11.670 billion, while operating income climbed 10 per cent to Dh18.306 billion, according to the bank's latest financial results. Total assets grew 20 per cent annually to Dh890 billion, with net customer loans rising 18 per cent to Dh469 billion and customer deposits up 16 per cent to Dh558 billion.

The bank's return on average equity improved by 144 basis points to 16.2 per cent, while its cost-to-income ratio declined by 40 basis points to 27.3 per cent, reflecting tighter cost control alongside revenue growth.

Group chief executive Ala'a Eraiqat said the bank "maintained its accelerated growth trajectory" during the third quarter, attributing the performance to its market position and strategic execution.

The results place ADCB among the UAE's best-performing lenders this year, as the country's banking sector continues to benefit from strong credit demand, rising deposits and resilient economic activity. Analysts have pointed to sustained lending growth across corporate and retail segments as a key driver behind the strong earnings reported by UAE banks so far this year, with ADCB's latest figures reinforcing that trend heading into the final quarter.
