Etisalat, the UAE's telecommunications operator, is rolling out a series of anniversary offers to mark 50 years since its founding, with the promotions valid until October 13, 2026. Under the offer, regular Etisalat customers receive 1GB of free data for every year they have held an account with the company, valid for one week. Subscribers on the operator's Emirati plan receive a bigger reward, 10GB of free data for every year of loyalty, with the same validity period. Etisalat has also introduced a dedicated 50GB data pack priced at Dh200 with 30-day validity, while postpaid customers can receive up to five times their usual data allowance during the promotional period. For customers travelling abroad, the company is offering a weekly roaming bundle of 5GB of data plus 500 roaming minutes, double the data of its standard 2.5GB roaming package, provided the purchase is made by October 9. Etisalat is also offering discounts of up to 90 per cent on selected devices, along with six-month discount vouchers from travel partners available through its Smiles app. Founded in 1976 as the Emirates Telecommunications Corporation, Etisalat was the UAE's first telecom operator and introduced the internet to the country in 1995. The company, now one of the region's largest telecom providers, is presenting the current offers as part of its 50th-anniversary celebrations.
